A woman and a girl aged 19 and 16 were killed due to unknown reasons in northeastern Takhar Province.

A 19-year old woman was killed in the restive of Rostaq district of Takhar by her husband due to unknown reasons and a 16-year old girl hanged herself in the same district due to family violence.

This comes as suicide and murder of women due to family violence has increased in recent months in the country.
