UN special envoy for Afghanistan met with the Taliban delegation in Doha on Wednesday.

The two sides discussed progress in the intra-Afghan talks, release of the remaining inmates and removal of the Taliban group’s senior figures from the UN Security Council blacklist, Taliban Political Bureau Spokesman Naeem Wardak wrote on his twitter.

Mr Naeem added that the Taliban delegation and the UN special envoy also discussed the causes of the ongoing fighting as well as civilian casualties.
