The United Nations experts have said that quality education must be equally accessible to all in Afghanistan.

As the new education year begins, the experts and the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights for Afghanistan in statement have called for the provision of quality and equal education for girls and boys.

The Islamic Emirate has consistently said that it is not against the education of girls and that efforts are underway to provide them education within the framework of the Islamic Sharia.
