UNAMA strongly condemns deaths of civilians in Nangarhar attack
04 Oct 2020
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said it was outraged by the deaths of civilians in a terrorist attack in Nangarhar Province.
Those responsible must be held to account. Extremists & spoilers need shunning, with full support to Afghans promoting a non-violent negotiated settlement to Afghanistan conflict, UNAMA said on its twitter.
In the meantime, the presidential palace says the Taliban and other terrorist groups are killing civilians and destroying public facilities every day.
A car bomb explosion in Shinwari district of Nangarhar Province killed at least 15 civilians and injured 50 others.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the incident.
