US military confirms crash of aircraft in Ghazni

The US military confirmed that one of its planes had crashed in eastern Ghazni Province on Monday.
“While the cause of crash of E-11A aircraft is under investigation, there are no indications the crash was caused by enemy fire,” US military spokesman Colonel Sonny Leggett said in a statement.
Taliban Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid in a statement said that the plane was brought down by the group’s fighters in Deh Yak district of Ghazni and as a result a number of US military officers were killed.
Dey Yak district is located in southeast Ghazni and is partially controlled by the Taliban.
