The United States Special Peace Envoy for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad has met the Afghan president Ashraf Ghani to brief him on US-Taliban negotiations.

“The meeting took place at the presidential palace, shortly after Khalilzad arrived from Doha”, presidential spokesman Sediq Seddiqi said.

Sediqqi further said that the palace would soon share details about the meeting.
