A woman was mysteriously beheaded in northern Sar-e pol Province of Afghanistan, according to local officials.

The dead body of the woman was found in Kariz Arabian area of Sar-e Pol, officials said.

Police has launched an investigation into the incident, but no one has so far been arrested in connection with the case.
