14 civilians killed in roadside mine blast in Daikundi

A roadside mine explosion in Daikundi Province claimed the lives of 14 civilians and injured three others.
A vehicle carrying civilians hit a roadside mine placed by the Taliban in Dasht-e Solaiman area of Kajran district, killing 14 including women, men and children and injuring three other children, Interior Ministry Spokesman Tariq Arian said.
The Taliban has not yet commented on the incident.
As many as 3,500 civilians have been killed and wounded in the country as a result of Taliban attacks in various parts of the country, Mr. Arian added.
