Spokesman for the Taliban Political Bureau in Qatar Suhail Shaheen said on Tuesday that the group had recalled its technical team from Kabul.

“Prisoners of the Islamic Emirate should have been released long before as per the signed agreement and paved the way for intra-Afghan negotiations. But, the relevant sides are deliberately delaying our prisoners’ release and thus violating the peace Agreement,” he said on his twitter.

However, an adviser to the Afghan president has asked the Taliban not to be in a hurry and that the release of prisoners won’t take place unless there is a guarantee from the group.
